Stevie Chow (b. 1991, Calgary, Canada)
Stevie is a Canadian artist based in London whose work explores how image circulation, especially through compression, repetition, and screens, influences memory and perception. Using fragments from his digital archive, he builds paintings through layered transfers of screenshots and low-resolution moments. The process is responsive, shaped by bleed, misalignment, and erasure, guiding a certain material tension while maintaining a degree of photographic precision.
Leaning into a DIY sensibility, his practice moves between painting, print, and digital media, reflecting on how screen-based habits continue to blur the boundaries between image, medium, and visual hierarchy.
