Canadian artist Stevie Chow continues to delve into the exploration of what truly guides a fulfilling life. Building upon the themes explored in his previous New York-based shows, Chow presents a cohesive and distinct body of work that marks a clear establishment of his visual language. Drawing inspiration from playful "tried and true wisdom gems," his large-scale statement pieces offer a striking examination of the role that language plays in shaping our experience of the world. Through the use of a wide array of materials, including acrylic, spray paint, vinyl, glitter, money, and resin, on both canvas and birch panel surfaces, his works playfully explore the dichotomies of material versus spiritual fulfillment, and the ongoing tension between satisfying our basic needs and striving for our goals and desires. Entitled "Words To Live By," the collection is on display at Vision XR Gallery in De Haan, Belgium as of April 2023.
